Big Island Love For Valentines: Romantic sunset views from the Big Island…
Since Valentine’s Day is this weekend and I am in Hawaii, I thought I’d share a few of my most romantic sunset views from The Big Island.
We are having a relaxing, blissful time of sunshine and ocean fun on the Big Island. This week, the oceans have been rough which has limited the snorkelling time. Beaches I snorkelled at last time I visited the area are out of the question as they’re constantly pummelled by fierce waves.
The waves are spectacular to watch: turquoise monsters with fuzzy white afros throwing themselves onto lava rock. I’ve spent the past week mesmerized by waves whether it be trying ride them on a boogie board or watching the towering beasts crash on shores no human dare wander. When I shut my eyes the image in my brain is always the same: rolling whitecaps crashing toward me. It is the most beautiful eyes-shut brain illusion I’ve ever had.
Needless to say, we’ve been boogie boarding a lot! I had a minor boogie board and the waves mishap the other day. I injured my ribs/liver area. I have been toughing it out and I hope today the pain is less or I suppose I must have it checked out to see if I cracked/broke a rib…
I hope you enjoy the romantic sunsets. Happy Valentine’s Day to all my readers! xo

Beautiful pictures. Hope your side is improving.
We are getting the benefit of the Hawaiian Pineapple express as it has been about 10C here every day since you left.

I was afraid of that! I thought ski season may be usually short this season 🙁
