Interesting Women In Literature

Literature has always managed to be true to women since novel reading first became a popular leisure pastime in the eighteenth century. True women characters began appearing frequently in literature by the nineteenth century, in works written by the Brontë sisters, Louisa May Alcott, Henrik Ibsen and Mark Twain (to name a very few).

Despite what is happening in society on a political level, I am thankful for the writers (and artists) who continue to speak the truth about women, no matter what. My quest as a writer/artist is to continue to breath life into true women characters of all ages.
