A Very Late Night for Nem and Pablo… zzzzz…..

New Years Eve started out at Hart House in Nelson (my sister Theresa’s). We had a relaxing afternoon at Ainsworth hot springs. It was a busy afternoon at the hot springs–lots of bathing bodies. The natural rock caves and tunnel are extremely hot but so nice to walk through. Artemisia and Pip were very excited to be there and kept us all busy with their antics–running, shouting etc.
We drove back to Nelson where my sister Theresa was busy preparing an amazing Swiss roclette. A roclette requires a roclette grill (above). One melts slices of soft roclette cheese and then scrapes the melted cheese onto steamed veggies. Very yummy. Theresa also served shrimp buchettes (my mom’s famous recipe) and other delicacies. It was very cozy and enjoyable. I was not dressed in my usual fancy attire for New Year’s Eve as the roclette was to be followed by a dance party down the mountain at Hart Hall (the historical building my sister just purchased down town. She is remodeling the main floor to house her vet clinic).
All of the little gals LOVE Hart Hall. They run around and have the best time exploring the old building. So…after a little champagne and a lot of roclette, we stumbled down to the hall to welcome in the New Year dancing–I led the group into the New Year dancing Zumba! We had fun and it was the best and craziest class I’ve taught–all the dancers gave it their all!
