Congratulations to Life Guard Mistaya! Pic is Mistaya skim boarding on the Lake Okanagan, BC (she is 11 in the pic).
My eldest daughter Mistaya is now a certified life guard. She completed her NLS last night. We had a Mattel GameOn! Party (stay tuned for this coming-in-near-future post) at our house just as she arrived home soaking wet and proud–it was a great way for her to celebrate her accomplishment!
* This is my first post while my blog is in transit—moving from Modernista Mama to Musings…By Mix Hart. Work is still in progress; thank-you for your patience during the transition! I should debute the new theme in less than a week’s time. The (good) news is that I discovered my blog RSS Feed was broken. It’s fixed now. So, for anyone thinking I’d blocked you from following the blog—I apologize, the RSS Feed died. However, The Musings…By Mix Hart RSS Feed is now running so please RSS Musings…By Mix Hart once again!
My girls at Cocoa Beach, Florida (Tabs is 8, Pip 2 and Mist 11).
Mist took to the water like a fish at a very young age. Her nurturing ways were always evident around water–she’s always kept an eye on her younger sisters—Cocoa Beach has a healthy shark population.
Mist carrying Pip safely away from the river’s edge (Tabs 9, Mist 12 and Pip 3). The pic was taken in my parent’s back yard in Kamloops, BC. The River is the Thompson.
Mist, just weeks ago, at Laguna Beach…and what is she holding? Could it be a sand ball? Life guard Mist wouldn’t get up to shenanigans near the water…would she?
There she is, plotting which one of her sisters is the lucky recipient of her sand ball…
