She Likes to Move It

Cousins Pip and Artemis meet on the field. Hey, where did that ball go?

The above pics reflect family life this spring; every day/evening we have an event to attend: sports and or musical events.

My darling Tabs has suffered this spring. I have her on a gluten free diet as she has been plagued with intestinal pain and issues for months. The new diet seems to be helping a lot. However, last night I served frozen wedge style McCain fries without reading the ingredients list. They contained wheat flour. Today her issues are back. Must be much more vigilant.

Pablo is one smart Devil-Dog. I have him booked into a three night boarding school starting next week. It is a great start. Then, I will continue to drop him off to day school once a week to keep his dog socialization skills up. I might take Fernando for a day as well. Although he is not aggressive towards other dogs, he is horrible at encouraging bad behaviour in Pablo. Pablo does everything Fernando does only with more determination and fierceness.

Pablo can open our outside doors now with ease. They are heavy doors that require one to push on them after opening the handle. Pabs does it all himself and lets Fernando out with him to troll.  Last night Peter and I attended  Mist’s band concert at her school. Her band played last and we arrived home at nine thirty. Tabs was babysitting Pip–both she and Pip were fast asleep in their beds when we arrived home, but the back door was wide open and the dogs out  side in the yard. Pablo had let himself and his bro out for the evening after Tabs had gone to bed! I have to use the deadbolts at all times when we’re home now.

Must sign off for now as I must attend a field trip to a pond with Pip’s kindergarten class. The end of the school year is always bitter-sweet. I get attached to the girls’ teachers and classmates and it is always hard to say good-bye and move on.

* And following up a previous blog You Won’t Believe It’s Vancouver , I’ve received a complimentary night at the Pacific Rim Fairmont–to make amends for the fruit bombings 🙂

Love the pictures! Misty makes a beautiful ballerina.

Pablo is a devil dog! Must be hard to keep one step ahead of him.

    Great news from the hotel!

Thank-you! Yes, I am learning much about life through adopting the dog boys.
