My Mistaya

Mistaya and Jewel.                                                                      Tabitha and Comet.

My little Mistaya is amazing. She babysits for me so often and when I am tired she says, “Mom, I”ll play with Pip for awhile to give you a break.” She still loves junior high and practices Monty every day without me having to remind her. They really are a good fit–the bass clarinet and the MIst. She recently arrived home from ballet. She and a friend are posting a movie they made on “You Tube.” But she won’t give me the address until it is completely edited.
Tabi is amazing too. Excited about the ice cream party tomorrow and excited about a tea party she is throwing this Friday after school. They’re going to decorate cupcakes made ahead by Tabitha, sip tea and then have a “Mama Mia” karaoke party.
Very chilly this AM on my way to and fro the gym. I worked this afternoon. It’s just not as fulfilling as writing or painting. After a couple hours of working on my art I always feel fulfilled, like I’ve really accomplished something. But working on a paper for a few hours leaves me feeling stressed at how much more work I need to do.
Tabs starts swimming lessons now that soccer is over for the season.
Pip is amazing too. She and I played most of the day together. She made crafts, did about a dozen puzzles and we read about a dozen books. After such a busy weekend, I didn’t really want to leave the homestead.
Busy month ahead: Kamloops this weekend, Peter to Edmonton the next weekend and then we leave for Florida. Not to mention I have to make up a class I’ll be missing. I have to have the kids Halloween costumes ready early so we can bring them. They’re going to celebrate Halloween at Disney World. Tabs is going to be Minny Mouse, Pip a cat and Misty a bumblebee. Me and Pete? A couple of Canadian weirdos–no need to dress up of course.

How come you didn’t mention Kyr’s costume? I absolutely won’t let him be another Canadian weirdo like his aunt and uncle.

I thought Kyr could play my son “Hermie” from my first marriage. No need to dress up for that character, though be warned, he’s most definately a little Canadian weirdo–that Hermie.
And yes, send Nemi on a flight this Thursday. We can have her back to you by Saturday. Tabs has written down about 2 dozen ABBA songs that they will be singing.
