Pip and Mom
Me and Pip
Tabs and Mist

A delicious meal at my parents house in Kamloops. We stayed the night, the girls loved sleeping together in a big bed and having a bath together in the big tub and gardening with Gran–harvesting carrots and apples. My mom makes the best pies ever:pumpkin and apple.
Peter and I did an exhilarating hike this AM. It was beautiful to see 6 deer bounding over the tall sage brush and through the hills.
The girls serenaded their grandparents with “Mary Had a Little Lamb”–Pip sang, Mist played the bass-clarinet and Tabs on recorder.
My mom doing very well despite the recent death of her dear friend Lynne Pancyr.
Came home to discover that the mice wrecked havoc in the wardrobe. Much more damage than previously noted. Eight coats eaten through. All the coats made of wool or fake fur were chewed through. So disappointing. Two, of my absolute favourite coats for the girls that my Mom made: long red wool coats with black velvet collars. Thank goodness Mom said she would make Penelope new ones. I just have to pick out some wool fabric.
If only I’d known just what those pesky creatures had been up to, I might not have been so kind as to relocate them to the forest.
Mom is coming to help me next weekend while Peter is in Edmonton. I have an all day class which Will be too long a day to leave Mist in charge of her sisters.
Elections Canada tomorrow….hmm…thank G I’m not working a 15h shift again for it. Let’s just make damn sure Harper doesn’t get a majority!
So happy the Dalai Lama’s surgery was only to remove gall stones–he’s had a very stressful year with China being so horrible to him and his brother dying. I was concerned for him.

Looks like such a quintessential Thanksgiving! Wish I were there! I miss those rituals, despite my distain for turkey.

    Sp is looking especially lovely!
