The Sun Shines Within

posted in: Fitness 2
I listened to the song Brighter Than the Sun by Colbie Caillat and decided it was the perfect song to welcome in the spring. I was inspired to quickly choreograph a Zumba dance. The dance is a calypso/merengue. I literally just threw it together after listening to the song one time through. I hope you find it inspirational, that it gets you in the mood for spring. The video is below. Be patient, sometimes it takes awhile to appear.

Spring break for my daughters. My youngest are visiting their grandparents with their cousins. They have been looking forward to this visit for so long–they are having the time of their lives. My eldest daughter will be heading to the Kootneys to stay with her Auntie and best-bud cousin Kyran. But today Mist is at work with her dad. I will pick her up after a meeting I have on campus. This week I teach dance and prepare for my MA defense that is on Friday morning.

Booked our month long holiday in various French parts of the world: Montreal for a week at the end of June, home for a few days and then off to New Orleans with the family for a few weeks. We’ll be staying in the French Quarter. I know both cities are English and French but I need something to inspire me to brush up seriously on my French.

Once again I have embraced evening meditations–just before I sleep. It is the only time I have to meditate and I love it. I sit in front of the fire and meditate. One can try this and that, prescribed ways and times to meditate, but in the end one must do what works for them. This works for me.

I made the most amazingly delicious brownies last night, spelt brownies. I ate one for breakfast and then danced. Feel a little queasy. Must go and get ready for my meeting.

The dance is good but it is hard to hard to feel inspired for spring when the wind is blowing 70 K.
