There is nothing like a quiet, calm morning on the Caribbean Sea.
Cuba’s no motor boat/jetski policy makes this fantasy a reality.
You just want to jump in a kayak and explore.
We had fun taking these shots and I tweaked them a bit to make them very dramatic, if not ghoulish at times–my facial skin tone is a little frightening!
The following dramatic shots include the Hotel Internacional in the background (I believe the dramatic photo mood suits the hotel and its opulent pre-revolution history).
In July, the summer Carribean Sea is so very warm and clear. The Cubans told us they only swim in the sea from May to September; they feel it’s too chllly during the winter months.
All of the tourist flock to the Caribbean during those winter months and play happily in the sea–the Cubans find this crazy; it’s too cold they say.
I recommend Cuba during the summer–less tourists, more Cubans on the beaches and the sea is like a bath.
Hope you enjoy the playful sea pictures–we had fun posing for them…
