Spokane, Washington

On sunday, while the children slept in and watched TV in the hotel room, Peter and I snuck out for a relaxing walk in down town Spokane. We told the girls that when they were ready, they could all go down to the Safari Room for breakfast together and charge it to the room. After all of Peter and my exploring, we returned to all 3 gals still in the room and no one had gone down for breakfast!
Here are a few pics from our “adult walk” in Spokane:

The Safari Room at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane (where we very comfortably stayed for 3 nights). I must say, I have stayed in many top notch hotels but the Davenport’s beds where the most dreamy and comfortable. (The tiger died of natural causes at a zoo in California)
Peter in The Davenport lobby.
The original Davenport lobby–I love the oriental influence in its architecture and design–reminds me of the mansions I toured in Penang, Malaysia.
Madeleines’s an amazing Patisserie I discovered in downtown Spokane. I had the best almond croissant. If there’s a French Patisserie to be found in a town–I’ll find it! 😉
The crow and the squirrel: Walking in Riverside Park–I thought the crow and the squirrel made in interesting couple.
A close up of the crow–it wasn’t until I enlarged the pic did I notice the second crow watching from behind.
The squirrel.

At Riverside Park–Me in my Five-Finger Vibram’s ( birthday present from my mom and dad).
Me at Riverside Park. So much fun–the kids missed out!
