Snow Day in Okanagan Valley!
I tired to work; I truly did. But outside made inside seem so terribly boring…
The schools in my region had not closed for a snow day in 35 years…until yesterday and today. The first days back after Christmas vacation turned into more vacation days.
We have snow and how!
There was so much snow in the Okanagan yesterday, that by morning’s end, the university was forced to shut down at noon. I drove down our mountain after breakfast to pick up my two nieces so they could spend the day in the snow with my girls. I have 4 wheel drive; yet, the trip up my drive was a roller coaster ride of thrills (ask my nieces).
I tried to work, I honestly did; but when the world outside is like a trip to planet Snow Globe, everything inside seems painfully boring. There are perks to living in Canada and snow is one of them. Snow is like cool kisses falling from the sky that turn into the fluffiest play dough once they land on Earth.
I hope you enjoy a few pictures from our unbelievably beautiful and surreal day on planet Snow Globe.
